Digital estate modernization, delivered.
Seven waves of technology.
One firm that delivered through all of them.
Web. CMS. Mobile. Cloud. Digital transformation. Data and analytics. Now AI. Assembly has been the implementation partner organizations trust through every major shift.
The technology changes, but the discipline of making it work inside complex organizations does not. That discipline is the firm.
Who Assembly is for
Built for technology and business leaders accountable for outcomes.
Executives and transformation sponsors come to Assembly when the program has to actually deliver. Senior practitioners running the work end-to-end, with the discipline to ship inside live environments and the operational accountability to keep it running afterward.
We also work as the delivery arm behind advisory-led transformations. Specialized partners bring the business and directional strategy. Assembly brings the technology and implementation strategy, and the engineering team that turns it into a working platform, on the timeline the business is accountable to.
The story
How Assembly built a firm that delivers through every wave.
Twenty years ago, John, a tech entrepreneur, and Chris, an engineer, started Assembly with a simple belief: the hardest problem in technology isn't the technology, it's making it work inside real organizations.
Seven waves later, that belief has proven right.
From early .NET systems to modern AI platforms, the tools have changed every few years. But inside real organizations, the challenge has stayed the same: fragmented systems, accumulated logic, and the difficulty of evolving without breaking what already works. Assembly was built to solve that problem.
At each wave, we didn't just learn the technology, we built the capability to deliver it in live environments. Frontend architectures before they were standard. DevOps before it was expected. Cloud, data platforms, and now AI delivery alongside Claude and Codex.
Alongside that, we built the infrastructure to support it. SOC 2 Type II, audited annually. Microsoft Solutions Partner. Senior practitioners across North America, supported by global delivery. Proven delivery frameworks that compress time without increasing risk.
Two engines power the firm: consulting and implementation to move platforms forward, and managed services to keep them evolving long after launch. That's why our client relationships last years, often decades, across automotive, financial services, private equity, regulators, energy, and real estate.
Leadership
The operators who run Assembly programs.
Each leader below has run large programs at scale. They are not figureheads or sales executives. They are the operators who staff your engagement, run your delivery, and answer for outcomes when something goes sideways.
John Wilk
CEO & Partner
Co-founder and CEO, John leads Assembly's vision and strategy, go-to-market, partnerships, and growth. He co-founded the firm two decades ago and has grown it into a senior-practitioner consultancy that organizations trust with their most complex programs, kept privately held and founder-led through every major technology wave.

Why leaders choose Assembly
Built for programs that run to completion.
Founder-led continuity for the duration of your program.
Assembly is privately held and founder-led, with the same partners running the firm today who started it two decades ago. The team you commission your work with is the team that will be there when it completes. No private equity rollup risk, no leadership transitions mid-engagement, no organizational drift.
Two decades of estate modernization across technology waves.
The technology has changed many times in two decades. The fundamental discipline of estate modernization has not. Assembly has run programs through multiple cloud generations, multiple architectural shifts, and multiple market cycles. That accumulated pattern recognition is what complex programs need from a partner.
The kind of partner that survives the program.
Many firms that win large programs do not survive them. They get acquired, restructured, or pivot to a different business. Assembly's structural choices (private ownership, founder leadership, senior-practitioner staffing, and a focus on programs that complete) are designed to make sure the firm running your program is still the same firm at the end of it.
Senior practitioners on every engagement.
Assembly does not staff engagements out of a junior pyramid. The engineers, architects, and program leaders on your work are senior practitioners with the experience to make the calls that matter without escalating every decision. This is what makes the engagement model work: small teams of operators rather than large teams of order-takers.
Partnerships
Partnered with the platforms our work runs on.
Assembly is a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Digital & App Innovation and a Sitecore partner. The platforms our clients depend on are platforms we hold direct partnerships with.
Security & compliance
SOC 2 Type II, audited every year.
Assembly maintains SOC 2 Type II attestation through an annual third-party audit, which clears procurement and vendor security review on day one in financial services, public sector, and other regulated environments where vendor approval is a common bottleneck.
